All systems purchased through Laptops Unlimited include a 30 day Limited Hardware Warranty, which covers the original hardware.  Software is subject to the warranty of the individual software publishers as set out in the materials which accompany it.  Laptops Unlimited warrants to the original purchaser that the system’s hardware shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 30 days following the date of purchase.  Laptops Unlimited will repair or replace, at our discretion, any product or part thereof which is proven defective by Laptops Unlimited.  This warranty does not include normal wear and tear or consumable items. 

To obtain performance under this limited hardware warranty the customer must visit the Laptops Unlimited store or call 801-766-4686 and report and obtain an authorization to return the item for repair.  There is no charge during the 30 day warranty period for systems returned to our store.  The Customer is responsible for shipping chargers to Laptops Unlimited.  Laptops Unlimited will cover ground shipping costs for returning systems to our customers in the continental U.S. during the warranty period.

Laptops Unlimited offers to its customers purchasing a used laptop or desktop computer an extended (1) year warranty.  The (1) year warranty covers everything the standard 30 day warranty covers. For both policies the (1) year limited warranty extends only to original equipment, or subsequent upgrades purchased from and installed by Laptops Unlimited.  Non-Laptops Unlimited upgrades or installations are not covered and may void this service warranty policy on any system so modified

This limited warranty does not cover losses or damages that occur as a result of shipping, improper installation, or maintenance by anyone other than LAPTOPS UNLIMITED, modification, or installation of options or parts by anyone other than LAPTOPS UNLIMITED, acts of God or accident, misuse, neglect, or misapplication of the product; repair modification, exposure to extremes of temperature or humidity, power fluctuations, lightning or improper electrical power. Also this limited warranty does not cover the battery included in laptop systems.  They are represented as “as is” and will be the customers responsibility to replace such. LAPTOPS UNLIMITED OFFER NO ADDITIONAL WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THOSE OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND MECHANTABILITY.  LAPTOPS UNLIMITED IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOSS OF TIME, INCONVENIENCE, LOSS OF DATA OR SOFTWARE, INADVERTENT DISCLOSURE OF DATA, SOFTWARE OR PERSONAL FILES TO THIRD PARTIES, LOSS OF PRODUCT, OR PROPERTY OR PERSONAL DAMAGE CAUSED BY YOUR PRODUCT OR ITS FAILURE TO WORK, OR ANY OTHER DIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.  ACCESSORIES, PERIPHERALS AND PARTS SOLD SEPARATELY ARE COVERED BY THEIR RESPECTIVE MANUFACTURER’S WARRANY AND ARE NOT COVERED UNDER THIS WARRANTY AGREEMENT.  ACCESSORIES, PERIPHERALS AND PARTS NOT INSTALLED BY PC LAPTOPS ARE NOT UNDER WARRANTY AND ARE NON-RETURNABLE AND NON-REFUNDABLE.

This limited hardware warranty is the only one we give on your hardware product, and it sets for the all our responsibilities regarding your Laptops Unlimited hardware.  There are no other express or implied hardware warranties.  Repair or replacement of your product with parts at equal or newer age, at Laptops Unlimited discretion during the warranty period, is your exclusive remedy.

CUSTOMER AGREEMENT:
 
I, the “Customer” acknowledge and agree that Laptops Unlimited IS NOT LIABLE FOR DAMAGE TO DATA, SOFTWARE OR HARDWARE whether it occurred before, during or after service of the system provided by Customer. Customer further acknowledges that he or she is responsible for software & data and have backed-up both.  Laptops Unlimited may backup and restore data files as in its sole discretion deems appropriate but due to the nature of data transfers, loss of data may occur.  Customer specifically agrees and understands that this document is intended to limit any and all liability which may have existed for Laptops Unlimited.  Accordingly, no warranty, express or implied, exists with respect to REPAIRS performed on behalf of Customer following the execution of this document.  Warranty repairs or replacements do not extend the original warranty period.  Parts warranties are made by the manufacturer and warrants that all program software currently stored on their system were legally obtained.

Any computer systems left for more than 45 days will become property of Laptops Unlimited, unless arrangements have been made, and mutually agreed with Laptops Unlimited.

Laptops Unlimited desires to maintain a positive relationship with its customers and without waiving any of the limitations in the preceding paragraphs.

I understand it is my responsibility to backup all software and data. All sales are final and as is.  All returns are at the sole and exclusive discretion of Laptops Unlimited, must take place within 7 days of purchase and will be charged a restocking fee of 15% of the PURCHASE PRICE.  Any returns after 7 days will be at the discretion of Laptops Unlimited, and will be charged an additional convenience fee of 5% of the total purchase price.  Also if Microsoft Windows or Office products have been activated, they will not be accepted back for a refund or credit.

I agree that any dispute regarding this Agreement will be submitted to binding arbitration.  Laptops Unlimited and customer each specifically wave our right to pursue any legal or equitable remedy in any city, county, state or federal court of law and shall submit their claims to the American Arbitration Association for resolution.  In the event either party initiates any legal, equitable, or arbitration proceeding, or other legal proceeding to enforce or seek any claims under this Warranty and Limitation of Liability, the prevailing party shall be entitled to an award of reasonable attorney’s fees.  The laws of the state of Utah shall govern the interpretation, validity, performance, and enforcement of this warranty.  If any provision of this warranty shall be held to be invalid or unenforceable, the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions of this warranty shall not be affected thereby.
